A nine-hole pitch and putt in Hugh Boyd Community Park in Seafair, par 27 over 692 yards, with holes from 51 to 97 yards - about as gentle an introduction to golf as Richmond has. Rates are the City's 2026 adult green fee: $6.25 for nine holes, the same on weekdays and at weekends and on holidays, with a second round $4.35 on a weekday or $4.45 at a weekend. Children and youth 18 and under and seniors 55+ pay $5.25 on a weekday. A family rate of $4.10 per member covers up to four (weekends 9am to noon), and ten-visit cards ($56.60 adult) and season passes ($172.70) are sold. First come, first served - no advance booking. Debit and credit only on site; no cash. The course opens in early spring, usually May, and closes about Thanksgiving weekend, weather permitting; from 10 August to 7 September 2026 it opens at noon on weekdays and 9am at weekends, last tee-off 6.30pm.
